Greetings and welcome to... a newsletter! Yes, it is an enjoyable and occasionally lengthy conglomerate of text for your reading pleasure!
The newsletter format is fairly simple, and I promise not to include a table of contents like above in every NL. I'm not a big fan of those gigantic copy+paste NLs with all the same info in them every time. Most of the time you'll just see fluid paragraphs with no real breakup or distinction. I'm doing a laid-out formula this one time to give you all a chance to adjust. Expect these full NL's to come once a month, and the space in between will be filled in with various little announcement emails like you have seen in the past two weeks.
News:
Redemption Fleet is the coolest fleet in the RS, and as such all the exciting stuff happens here. As you've read from previous emails, a new division has been opened named "Kenobi Group" which will serve as a think-tank. If you're interested, you can find them both on the RF webpage and the RS roster.
Another new division, which is actually an older division being revisited, is also in the works. Former RFCO Rear Admiral Sentry is reorganizing the old Homeworld division into a new division that will hopefully go live within a week. Contact Sentry at JSentryH@aol.com for more information.
Finally, as I just read in the STC newsletter, MGN Jester has decided to revive the Force Commander section of the STC! If you're interested, please contact Jester at RS_Jester@hotmail.com
In other big RF news, I've finally selected a new Redemption Fleet XO. I had quite a few applications for this position, from many distinguished officers, and so the decision-making process was not cut and dry. One applicant, however, stood out. He has the advantage of having served as RF 2nd Officer under me, he has served as RFXO previously, and he is also a capable artist and web designer. Without further ado, I'd like to appoint Major General Ben Jynzer to the post of Redemption Fleet Executive Officer! Congratulations Ben, and I look forward to running the RF with you at my side.

A previous email informed you all that we now have a new RF webpage, based off the fleet template designed by the RSIO. You can view the RF page, as usual, at www.rebelsquadrons.org/rf Changes since that announcement have been few... basically, I added in Kenobi Group under the Division section. Hopefully you can expect an XO's office to be up shortly. This section of the NL will always list the recent changes to the RF webpage so you don't have to be groping in the dark to see what's new.
Promotions:
None at this time. Sorry, I don't mean to be a tease. :P
Classifieds:
This section will be a chance to list position openings for all the divisions. You got a job you want a person for, let me know and I'll post it here. For now the only listing is for an officer to make 7-11 runs for the RFCO.
In closing, I'd just like to state again how happy I am to be here. I've been in contact with Jester, Python, and Alec (my only Division CO's for the moment) and I'm very pleased with the direction the RF is taking. I foresee that the RF only has more fun days lying ahead, and that's what the RF is all about! Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for other announcements and next month's NL!
